Understanding Club Path

The club path refers to the path that the clubhead follows as it comes through the ball. A club path that is too far to the left or right can result in inconsistent shots and a loss of accuracy. By understanding and controlling your club path, you can improve your ball-striking ability and ultimately, your overall golf game.

Fixing Thin Shots

If your divot moves significantly forward, it indicates that you are likely to catch the ball thin. This can greatly impact your distance and accuracy.

Fixing Fat Shots

Visualize a target on the Divot Board and imagine that you need to chase up to the front of the lines. By doing this, you will train yourself to strike the ball with more precision and eliminate those frustrating fat shots.

Fixing Toe Strikes

One effective way to fix toe strikes is by adjusting your address. Start by focusing on the yellow circle in the middle of the divot board. Then, concentrate on moving your strike towards the yellow dot. With practice and consistency, you will be able to align your strikes with the desired target.

Fixing Heel Strikes

One way to use the divot board is to focus on the inner line of the board during your swing. By directing your attention to this line and trying to feel like you're hitting it, you can intentionally move your strike more towards the toe of the clubface. This deliberate adjustment helps you develop the necessary control and consistency to hit the ball consistently on the center of your club.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is the Divot Board?

Divot Board is a revolutionary golf training aid designed to provide golfers of all skill levels with instant feedback on their swing. It helps golfers improve their swing mechanics and consistency by showing them where their club contacts the ground.

When the golfer takes a swing, the club interacts with the board, leaving a mark that indicates the quality of the contact. Golfers can use this feedback to make adjustments and improve their swing.

What are the benefits of using the Divot Board?

Using the Divot Board can help golfers improve their ball-striking skills, leading to more consistent and accurate shots. It can also help golfers identify and correct swing flaws, leading to better overall performance on the course. The Divot Board does this by giving golfers instant feedback on every swing.

How Does The Divot Board Offer Instant Feedback?

The Divot Board gives instant feedback while you're hitting the golf ball. Just look down at the board to see how effective your swing was, without waiting for a computer or video. It shows the impact position and club path accurately. Unlike other golf trainers, the Divot Board's instant feedback is beneficial for all golfers..

How long does the Divot Board last?

The Divot Board pad is replaceable and lasts between 1000 to 3000 swings, depending on the speed and force of your swing. If you tend to chunk the ball frequently, the pad may last closer to 1000 swings. However, as you improve your swing and make cleaner contact with the ball, the pad will last 3000 swings and sometimes more. As long as you can still read the divot, the pad is working.

Replacement pads are available for purchase once the pad wears out, ensuring continued use of your Divot Board.

Does the Divot Board move when you hit it?

The Divot Board stays in place on plush carpet, artificial turf, and grass due to its spikes. If you are causing the board to move a lot, that means you are hitting the ball too fat. We are also working on a large mat with an insert for the Divot Board, ensuring it stays put on tile and hardwood floors. The mat will be available on our website, Launching November 2024.

How high above the ground does the Divot Board sit?

The Divot Board has 1/4” spikes that stick into the mat, carpet or grass. When placed on a surface the board sits 3/8 of an inch above the ground.

When you are out on the golf course you will rarely find a level spot to hit from. We should always be judging whether the ball is above or below our feet. You can choke up on the grip about 3/8" to make up for the 3/8” height of the Divot Board.

What are the Dimensions?

6” Wide

3/8” Height above the ground
